Lovely feeling of a bright sunny day here Dermot, those shadows from the left hand trees show the strength of the sun.

You´ve caught it really well. I´ve been there many times and it is always worth a visit. The building now houses an art gallery selling paintings and prints of several very good artists. http://www.cockingtongallery.co.uk/<br />And, no I am not on commission.

While stuck inside the last couple of days I came across a delightful photo of Cockington forge in Devon , I decided to paint it in watercolour and fill it full of glorious summer light , I've never been to this part of England but will defineitly pay a visit some day
