How could you paint this quickly Dermot? There is an incredible amount of detail, especially the row of boats on the right. Wonderful expanse of a majestic composition with a lovely palette and I particularly like the subtlety of the sunset.

And it's worked out really well Dermot. Lovely light and the row of gondolas is great. It is a fantastic place to visit for any artist, I must return again.
