Wonderful Dermot. Your paintings exude enthusiasm. I always want to fiddle with washes which is a huge mistake. Must have a go at what you do and see what happens but I doubt that I’ll achieve your wonderful results.

I love painting this type of watercolour where the first wash is painted on soaking paper and the colour is allowed do it’s beautiful dance it’s a joy to watch , it’s also very satisfying to put the detail in when the first wash is bone dry ......That’s it two passes across the paper and leave it alone
