Lovely atmospheric stuff, here Dermot, including several of the 50 shades of green! Great light on the sheep, too!

Masterful Dermot, love it all...the sheep are so simply done but so right.

Lovely atmospheric work Dermot

Nice balance of the soft trees and sharp focus on the sheep. This is also proof that green doesn't have to be boring.

Nice example of wet on wet and wet on dry techniques.

That's so good Dermot and I like how you have described your approach to the painting.

Very, very good Dermot, wonderfully vibrant.

Great atmosphere and light, with the diffused background making those sheep stand out. Terrific.

It's a cracker, Dermot.

Just beautiful, love the technique that gives such a lovely result.

Like this for all the reasons already stated. Watercolour at its simplest best, which, paradoxically is very difficult. Have you lifted off the highlights on the sheep Dermot? I'm having difficulty understanding how these lights were achieved, when the trees were put into wet paper, and the highlights are ligter tones to the background trees. Very well done.

Clean washes are the secret in watercolour. Super piece Dermot.

Lovely light in this Dermot and done so fast! I like the halo of light on the sheep.

This is very good, I especially like the background trees and the texture that you have achieved. Congratulations, a lovely piece.

I painted this with the mop wet in wet , top to bottom in one go using thicker paint for the green grass , trees were put in while on soaking wet paper for diffusion and sheep and spatter in the grass put in when bone dry .............. I love these quick watercolours finished in two passes
