It superb, Dermot. I love the suggestion of detail without overworking the piece, and the wonderfully atmospheric sky. You should certainly be happy with this piece, it's a stunner to be proud of, to be sure!

I think you have managed quite a loose style with this Dermot. I've been trying to do a loose painting of Venice but have not succeeded yet.

I've been to Venice many times and have painted very detailed watercolours of various parts of this beautiful place , now I prefer to paint a lot looser and sacrifice detail for a more risky wet in wet style , I'm happy with this ... I think ??
