Oh my Derek, I hope you're feeling a bit better. Only you could do this in your hospital bed. Well done and a speedy recovery.

Thanks again dennis and Ellen

Nice animated work. I hope the other guys there appreciate your work, I'm sure they do. Get well. X

Cheers Sylvia and answered your email ta!

It's amazing how quickly they can turn patients round these days and send them home - if this had happened twenty years ago you might have been in hospital for weeks. I've already wished you all the best, but I'll do it again for good luck!

Thanks Robert and yes replied to that too

I also wish you a quick recovery, Derek. Great sketches.

Love them Derek and your battling spirit in doing them from a hospital bed. Best wishes and get fully well soon. Jim,

Thank you Mia, Jim and Gudrun

They're superb, Derek. But you should be resting! Again, I hope you recover well soon. Do take care.

Good Man Get Well Soon!

So sorry you have been poorly Derek but glad to hear you are home now. Great sketches of life on the ward

You are most definitely a glass half full person Derek, or should I say a sketchbook half full type of person. super sketches .

best wishes Derek, scary times. great sketches, fresh as ever.

I think you may have "feigned" your heart attack in order to get some serious sketching done Derek - ha ha. Seriously, great stuff and wish you better soon.

You used your time well in hospital Derek, glad you home now.

That's the spirit! Derek!

Just had 4 days in hospital with a heart attack and home late last night with a stent in a large artery. Managed to get some good sketching in while in a bed. First one Heart Attack A (Thought it better to title them with A & B rather than 1 & 2 for obvious reaons ) during the morning Saturday 3rd June is on borrowed copy paper from the nurses with one of their Biros, of what I could see individually and of positions. The second one is in my sketch pad kindly brought in by my wife on Sunday morning. Cheated a bit as I had loads of time and went over some straight lines using an improvised ruler. This latter work was paraded round the whole Cardiology department by one of the nurses.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
