Looks fine as it is. Maybe a couple black lines for more contrast, that would be enough I guess.

Well I liked it straight away even from the thumbnail, but I do love expressive works so no surprise there, not sure what else you need to do on it, looks fine as it is but would probably look fine with a bit more paint thrown on (not literally).

Some great textures and colours Derek. Only a little paint needed.

Interesting how you have interpreted the original watercolour (which I also like by the way). Perhaps some hint of the foreground foliage?

I like the first one, but the newer version is fantastic. I would leave it, but you know I like minimal!

Thanks Carole, Stephen, Michael and Gudrun. Oh dear, what to do. My mind is other things at present anyway.

I see two different pieces of art, your more expressive new interpretation for me even better transports the feeling of decay. It seem to dissappear into the white. I like both pieces.

I like it as it is....leave.

This looks to me like very bright sunshine catching the areas that you've left white and the lines in the right foreground are shadows coming from that kind of industrial type wire fencing, which is out of the scene. It's brilliant by the way, wouldn't touch it.

The watercolour is a stunning piece and so is the reworking Derek

don't fiddle mate you've told me , this is finished

Both paintings are beautiful, Derek.

I Like!

This is an archived (possibly now painted over) watercolour started en plein aire and finished in the studio a few years back. The actual piece was 40 x 30cms and all I have is this poor photo from my archive. I decided to rework it new style this week and got this far. Won't have any more time on it for a while as we are going away tomorrow in the caravan till next Tuesday. Daft thing is I actually like this as unfinished with a lot of unpainted area of the white mount board exposed. As usual I feel I should finish it, but maybe just in pen, ink and even add some pastel work. Keeping it loose and undetermined. Any thought please?
