A great depiction of hustle and bustle, oozing atmosphere. Buildings look great and love the yellow sky, against the blue tones in this. Well done Derek. Nice to see this in its various processes.

Cheers Andre, you've picked out what I like about it. I was well pleased with the original but I can't paint like that any more.

It's a riot of superbly placed marks.

Well done Derek the original was a beauty and this is delightful

Another little gem Derek to add to your gallery

I think this one depicts better the hustle and bustle Derek.

Thank you Michael, Cliff, dennis and Marjorie

Turned out great Derek really enjoyed seeing the stages thanks

First class Derek, you have evoked that feeling of watching the world go by as I relax with a cool drink - thanks for that thought!!

Been there many many times Derek and you have captured the atmosphere so well. Great result!!

Great composition and vibrant colours - a happy painting, Derek

A lively piece Derek, does not look overworked despite adding to it and refining several times. Mine always seem to go worse when I do that!

Cheers Russell, Louise, Satu, Pat and Stephen - must admit I was worried about that with this piece.

Lovely bustling scene Derek, really love the greenery of the tree against the pinky building.

Thanks Fiona. A pal of mine who is quite a purist in wine, photography, food - all that I'm not, likes this better than the original oil.

A wonderful palette, Derek, and such liveliness, atmosphere and light. A real winner, this one!

Cheers Seok, might try and exhibit

Thank you for WIPs. This has turned out to be a really good painting. The milling people have been done brilliantly.

Thanks Gudrun If ever I was going to crop a picture not unlikely, the figures would be the point of focus

That is it. Changed colours here and there, plus the arrangement, more unnecessary mistakes, made more abstract, added marks. Had enough but much happier now and move on to sometheng else.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
