It was a beauty both are Derek

You made a good decision these are great I particularly like the one on the left .its full of varied texture and strokes that all shout out Derek Snowdon . you have a nice style mate lovely workkeep em coming.

Thanks dennis, Wouldn't even attempt the ink and wash now but it worked in thise days.

These are wonderful and one of my favourite places!

Thanks Karen, yes we had a nice lunch there.

Lovely work Derek , I actually prefer the one on the right as its so vibrant and full of life ....
Thanks a lot for the comment on my latest and regards masking fluid I very rarely use it as it absolutely destroys brushes , I prefer to go around an object or scratch out with a small safety pin .

It's worked out really well Derek, I like the inclusion of the car and it's more colourful.

Thanks Dermot. I too like the ink and wash version.

Cheers for the masking info. You must have a deft (what I used to have) touch but it works. Got so many old brushes I don't mind one or two being rubbished but I do try and clean them instantly with warm water and washing uo liquid.

Thanks too Fiona

Quite different paintings Derek, aren't they? I like the bright colours on the LHS painting, but I love your pen and wash on the RHS too. Good idea to paint like this from older work.

lovely today see both methods, even if one is enforced on you, that makes the new one all the better. You've found a way to adapt and have done really well, with a new portfolio of wonderfull paintings. Kudos

Thanks Jennifer and Andre
I always have used sketches as subjects and this old work popped up as an idea ref the dennis work

I much prefer your pen and wash version Derek - has a great feeling of a warm, sunny day. The one on the left is far too busy for me, but then I suppose it's horses for courses.

I prefer that one too Frank, but can't do it now.

I like both, but I find the style you have developed more dynamic and exciting somehow. Perhaps there is more of you in it?

Thanks Gudrun you maye be right

23 x 25cms on HandMade Wookey Hole paper. Decided to go through my work rather than snitch dennis's subjects and this fitted from one of my ink and wash works which was reasonable. Will search for more if the mood takes me.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
