Derek, this is really splendid work! I love the subtle interaction of colors and the very painterly brushwork in the foreground and the strong sure shapes of the focal point. I also take this opportunity to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

I bit the bullet and followed a video, for the first ever time, by Will Kemp on a mission to find a new style. It was very useful and did this work yesterday and this morning. I am reasonably pleased with it, any C&C would be really welcome. It's 25 x 25cm on board. Not sure if I will fasten on to the impressionist style, but it's useful.
