An interesting abstract Derek I really like the colours you've used especially the well placed red shapes. I can see a tree in the foreground, a red tractor and a view over farmland. Completely wrong I expect but you can interpret an abstract in whatever way you like!

Thanks Christine. the tree is a shrub in a pot, the tractor is a wheel barrow and there is no farm land, but yes see what you want.

Yes - this I like - somewhere between abstract and realism (probably be told that's not the right word but you know what I mean !).

Thanks Michael and yes I do know what you mean, puzzled myself quite frankly about all those genre's. Haven't a clue but I aimed at abstract

Lovely juxtaposition of shapes and colour Derek

Thank you dennis, for a change I did work hard on that aspect of it.

You are getting very good at these - love the shapes and colours - those flashes of red make it all very exciting.

Thanks Thea, I am painting nearly every day so practice helps

You're truly superb with abstracts, Derek. Excellent placement of shapes here!

Thanks Seok, I did really concentrate on this one.

After workshop yesterday and thinkg shapes and lines, I took a photo through one pane of glass at breakfast this morning. Not a scinttilating view but here it is. Acylics, brush, knife and credit card but got away from the planned shapes and lines a bit 34 x 26cm on back of a failed watercolour.
