Hi Derek i hope things work out okay for you.with your bad news. Now this painting,at first i didn't look at it properly but on closer inspection i realised how lovely it is. I love tho beautiful blue green distance and the sign and fence are surrounded by beautiful rich colours , its lovely Derek well done.

Thanks Dennis, it's one of a series of pub sketches done when I was injured with running and spent the time sketching while the gang were out running. I still enjoyed a pint or two!

I like how the pub is nestled into the surrounding countryside Derek! It's very inviting. I like the feeling of a hot, shimmery day too. Sorry to hear that you had some bad news Derek! I hope that things seem a bit better now. All the best!

Have just finished this, painting over a figure study that didn't work. It's from my sketch of a Hampshire pub, once call the Dever Arms, now The Halfmoon and Spreadeagle. In Micheldever near Winchester. Had some really crap news today and I am depressed but needed to do something, however the hands were all over the place, so mistakes made and covered, therefore the architecture has changed a little.
