Really nice Dennis, you have given it that really worn look of these old buildings, great colours, nice one.

Yes Malcolm that was what I was trying to achieve. Many thanks

Yes indeed Dennis, needs a bit of renovation perhaps but how lovely and interesting these places can be. Great piece as usual.

Love your colours again Dennis, the patches of sunlight on foreground give lovely effect. This would be wonderful as your gallery!

Yes I am dreaming and looking at cheap property in France and there are some wonderful old buildings so you might see a few more. Many thanks Alan and Carole

Beautiful painting and good luck with the search

excellent use of colour again dennis love the light effect and your dry brush work looks like my gallery (not) well done David Harrison

The tired and neglected look of so many French farm groups warmly captured. really nice picture.

It's all been said Dennis, great painting.

Many thanks Janet David Willie and Russell you never know

I love the rustic/ damp atmosphere created with those beautiful Blues and greens. Diana

Thanks so much Diana and Satu very much appreciated

Love this, Dennis, so typical of the sun drenched old properties in France, great textures.

Real nice job on this Dennis, French rustic charm down to a tee. Oh and good look with the search.

Hope there are big windows on the other side mate. This is very accomplised scene,

Not been abroad for thirty years so it will be an oddysey

Wishes do come true Dennis......I wish I had a teeny, weeny touch of your magic when I put brush to paper......this is fabulous!

Smashing painting, Dennis, the light effect in the building is beautiful and the colours too. Great contrast dark-bright. I like much this one.

A wonderful painting Dennis,

One of my favourites of yours Dennis - something mysterious and intriguing about it.

Many thanks Fiona you have great talent as do all here Cesare and Helen. Just wish I was a bit better

Many thanks Ivan David and Michael it's good fun at times and hard at others

Love this Dennis... If you charge a small commission I'm in lol.... Well if you've got space for my rubbish..... Or in the words of 10cc you could put my picture up to hide a nasty stain that's lying there..... :-)

You have caught the aged stonework very well here Dennis. Have you gone on the Postcard from Provence site? That's about an English artist who renovated a ruined building in France and posts little oil paintings every day.erhaps you will be able to do that!

You wouldn't consider throwing in a bit of tuition as well would you Dennis? I can just picture myself after a hard day's painting, sitting outside that door with a big glass of wine....

Again SIMPLY beautiful Dennis

Many thanks Alan yes we could all exhibit there all learn from each other Marjorie all being well Stephen Michael oh money is no object and I am sure Dennis would amaze us all. Ah what a thought

You've got me going 'oh wouldn't it be loverly?' now - I'd go halves with you, if I had a half to contribute .... Well, sell a few more paintings, Dennis - then you'll be able to pick this place up easily. Simple, see? You'll thank me for this advice later.... As to the actual painting, like it - you've got the authentic look of age, and sun-weathered textures.

Many thanks Robert for the great comments you are too kind

Nothing like a crumbling old French barn for inspiration ! Lovely.

Another superb painting Dennis.

Thanks so much Avril and Tanusree for your valuable comments

Fabulous as always. I like this green hue theme you are on at the moment. Great light.

Ah, yes, Dennis, love the stonework and shadows on the building...a superb piece of work!

If this were my studio in France, Dennis. I would live in it! Beautiful!!

Many thanks Gudrun Chandra and Jennifer me too
