I wish I could do something like that in minutes! I've been fighting with an old oil painting this evening, trying to zhoosh it up a bit: WHAT a waste of time! A bad painting's a bad painting - I need a clear out, not a touching-up of old mistakes. Anyway - back to yours! Like it - it has everything you need in a picture, light, composition, atmosphere, focal point, direction.

Thanks Robert yes in the past I've had paintings that did not work , but I've turned them upside down and in no time suddenly I've done a nice painting , it must be all that underclours . And my painting it is really like the initial lay down under colour's but as I looked at it I liked it as it was , I had no reference it just happened. Thanks again Robert for your comments , much appreciated.

I do love the colours in this piece Dennis, and as Robert says, simplicity is always the key word in any composition.

Thanks Alan yes simplicity is very beautiful though it's hard to understand why . I feel like painting some of my paintings again in a simple way.
