Great use of lights, Dennis (and great love for Venice).

This is lovely. You could afford to lighten the tone of the gondolier's shirt - just a bit. It is a "dead" colour at the moment. Even though he is in shadow you must make the focal point vibrant.

I am enjoying your Venice series Dennis. This has a little more modern feel to it, good to experiment.

That violet/ purple just grabs you Dennis. That, for me, is the focus.
