I think it's astonishing how much you manage to convey here from so few marks and so little detail. This should be a big lesson for me! Interesting, also, that the "normal" rules of recession aren't followed, particularly with regard to tone, but that this doesn't seem to detract at all.

Thanks Dennis and Bill , yes bill its surprising but if you simplify stuff it makes it easier and often it looks better .

This works so well and the variety of blues adds to the frosty and chilly feel of the painting. Really effective.
