Thankyou Kal and Dennis, these paintings are really just from my head . The secret is to not make them so real they look photographic but not so loose that they don't have a real feel ,then they become charming . I don't bother to get rid of brush marks or smoot them out as it seems to render them lifeless. Thankyou again both much appreciated really.

I've run out of things to say Dennis! Lovely light field against the dark tones make it another winner to add to your gallery :)

The longer i have been on p o l the more i realise its about more than just painting , one gets to like the different characters on the site . Also i now see painting in a different way , i don't see it as one painting being better or worse than another but just different all of them hold there own beauty .So i think ive benefited a lot through being on this site . Thankyou both again.

My pleasure Dennis! You have certainly made me think about my dark tones. I can never get them dark enough but now I've seen how stunning your lights and darks can be I have tried extra hard! I have been painting black ink on and then adding colour on top with oil pastels!!! I would appreciate your comments when you see one!!! Always glad to see your work on here and the camera dearie on this site is always good. ( I left the camera dearie on here as it made me laugh, it's supposed to say camaraderie but the predictive text got the better of it! LOL!
