Wet wet wet

I hope you weren't driving at the time, dennis :) The weather may have been dull but this is a lively bright city scape. You have caught that watery window look without all the droplets to hide the work, lovely lively painting.

Thankyou C A , no mate I'm a driving instructor and we were stationary i quickly photographed the scene and painted it last night when i got back home. I kept it basic and resisted the temptation to refine it. That's why its a lively picture . Thankyou again C A .

Hi Lynne glad you like it. Yes my aim is to suggest detail but not paint it. That way the observer fills in the detail, and i think it makes for a fresher more vibrant painting. It would be much easier for me to make a slavish photographic copy but then you end up with a massive photo. Of course then the uneducated eye may see it as half finished its a compromise really .
