Pristine snow Dennis brilliant

Thanks Dennis much appreciated

So profoundly simple Dennis but so profoundly good. Every mark seems to count.

Many thanks John its because I've painted this scene many times in different seasons that makes the marks count

Beautiful painting Dennis, love the snow :)

Thanks Maria very much

Beautiful snow Dennis. The colours in it remind me of an Opal ring or of the insides of a shell. Translucent:)

Thanks very much Sarah much appreciated

another beauty Dennis the sky looks full of snow very evocative scene lovely composition David Harrison

Thanks David the composition is a bit unusual actually and I had my doubts but it just about works only just though

The chap is thinking about how to get up the hill without slipping. Great atmosphere; there is story, as always.

Thanks Gudrun that's an old gate post but maybe I could turn it into a man

Beautiful scene, love the subtle shades in the snow and love that dark sky.

Thanks Carole yes that dark sky is really the cause of the zing in the snow . I often see great snow scens but the skies and land have no contrast , I often feel like downloading them and changing the sky but of course I don't.

Usual brilliance Dennis - your recent street scene too.

Thanks Michael very much

How an empty field looks so good!! Wonderfully atmospheric Diana

Great contrasts and colours Dennis, I really like the little touches of white in the foreground headgerow, this reminds me of so many hills in the Peak and Dales which seemed a good idea at the time but not by the time you got to the top, two steps up, five back ☹️. The sky on this really gives it that winter mood, smashing piece Dennis.

Thanks Diana once again

That sky is something else against the snow, so often seen.

Thanks Derek very much

Thanks Glennis very much

Beautiful painting Dennis, great perspective and shining snow.

Thanks Cesare much appreciated

So beautifully understated Dennis.

Thanks Fiona very much
