Lovely work dennis. I like the highlight on the chestnut horse - nice touch. Looking at this reminds me of the first job I had at a flat racing yard on the edge of Salisbury Plain. I can still feel the exhilaration of my very first early morning ride-out on one of the race horses. Smashing work.

Hi c a that sounds like a great experience .i must admit they scare me. I was on a walk in flatford area and i had a rucksack on as i passed a big hunter who seemed angry he suddenly turned grabbed the rucksack in his mouth and lifted me off the floor . It was terrifying and ive never been comfortable by horses since.thankyou so much c a for your comments much appreciated.

Thankyou Michael glad you like it.i do like that last one of yours very much.

That does sound terrifying, dennis. He/she could have made an association to food with the rucksack, and treats wasn't coming its way quick enough when it spied yours. Although some animals have been domesticated they still have their basic wild instincts and this has come into play - with you on the end of its strength. Take care dennis. Happy Painting :)

Super piece, Dennis. Whatever the technique, you've done a wonderful job portraying the movement and the vibrancy of the scene.

This is my favourite Dennis !

Thankyou very much Sarah.l was most unsure of it. I hummed and ard about it in glad i did now . Thankyou Sarah.

Thankyou Seok I'm glad i put it up as i couldn't make my mind up if it was any good. I like it now though , ill try another one later. Thankyou again Seok.

When I saw this I started to sing Robin Hood, Robin Hood riding through the glen.....it's a very eye catching painting Dennis with lot of movement and lovely colours.

Thankyou very much satu i remember the best robin hood for me was Richard green. I must admit I'm taken aback by so many people liking this its not one of my favourites.
