That's lovely Dennis. I am not sure I remember seeing old Elm trees and am now worrying about the Ash dieback too - you have made a beautiful job of immortalising a wonderful tree.

Beautiful trees and a beautiful painting. Similar story with so many native trees too - we've just had to fell about 16 ash trees. so very sad.

Sadly the elms are gone due to Dutch Elm disease . But they are coming back as they have got a resistant strains now . But it takes a couple of hundred years to get big and mature so I won't see them again.
