I came across this watercolour the other day whilst searching for something else and it brought back so many happy memories of an annual painting holiday I had at Urchfont Manor when the place was run as an adult training Establishment by Wiltshire County Council. Sadly those weeks ended when Wiltshire CC sold the place. They were such happy times! Twenty or more watercolourists who had previously enjoyed a similar holiday at Philips House transferred their allegiance to Urchfont for several years , then to Dedham but of the original group, there are few left. I liked this ‘quickie’, particularly the windy sky. Just wish I could relivel those times!
