I spent last week in Wensleydale. The intention was to explore the area in the immediate vicinity of the village of Askrigg and produce a few paintings and drawings. The weather wasn’t particularly good - it was cold, damp and quite windy but I managed to do a bit. This ink and wash was excuted in the village of Askrigg trying to control the drawing board on my knee in a blustery wind. The coffee I had afterwards in the shop with the bow windows helped thaw me out!
