Old faithful

Lovely, Debs, and a super memory. I know the pain of losing dogs and I have never had a portrait of any of them to keep their lovely faces fresh in my mind, so it is wonderful for you to have this one. I do, luckily, have a portrait of my present dog - a super one by Julia Benning. I love the look you have got in her eyes and also that you have portrayed her as a dog in her twilight years. Lots of love comes through this portrait and I know that you always paint from the heart and you have done that here.

I think I've seen this one before on AF but lovely to see it again. The best way to remember a faithful friend, you've done her proud.

This is gorgeous, Debs! Agree with Thea and Val, you have done her proud with this portrait - there's so much soul in that face! it's always lovely to have a keepsake when a much loved pet is gone.

Thank you Harold - don't usually paint animals but when we lost her I just had to have a go at painting her!
