This was an experiment using watercolour (Opaque colours only) on a gesso and gold acry,ic paint surface. This means that paint can be removed easily to reveal the gold underneath. I only had a not watercolour paper as the initial surface which made it not quite as slick as the yupo. The painting started as abstract shapes but very soon I could see a bird appear.
