This is a great painting, the brush strokes are bold and expressive. My only comment would be that the grass surrounding the boat is a similar colour intensity to the background and therefore brings the far shore closer, but maybe this was your intention? I love the colour of the loch water which really sets off the boat to good effect. A beautiful painting for someone who loves being by the water.

Came across this upturned boat, tucked away in a corner by a loch on the Isle of Harris, very worn and used, but now abandoned.
