I like the eye, but am a bit mystified by the bill - does the Golden Eagle's not curve down to a hook, for tearing at its prey? I shall get my book of birds out..... there's something a bit reptilian about him at the moment.

Well, I like the portrayal of feathers, and the eye shows observation, but I agree with Robert...something amiss here...you certainly seem to have the skill....

We see many a Golden eagle flying o'er our crofthouse, here on the Isle of Lewis. Found this photo after Laurie Campbell, decided I wanted to draw one. Pastel pencil on black velour.
