I really enjoy the setting, the atmosphere and the detail you have accomplished with this beautiful painting David. So much to look at as one moves around the painting. Your handling of the darks and lights is excellent, and the reflections and water movement in the foreground are impressive.

Love all of your posts David but particularly like this one. With such a complex subject it would be easy to overwork but you have got the balance spot on. For someone who has only recently started working in oils your work is truly impressive.

Thank you for your kind comments folks all are greatly appreciated. Am putting it together with couple of others in a local exhibition in few weeks time. First time for Oils since I started with the medium a few months ago. The original actually looks a tad lighter than this photo and better for it.
