There is little glory in war , and it’s not only the troops who are the victims.

5:30 18th September 1918 The Norfolks went over the top to attack German positions, my Gradfather was in the first wave and was immediately killed by enemy machine gun fire. my Grandmother died in 1920, so my 18 month old mother was an orphan Her aunt adopted her. A sad story,..the horror and futility of war
