This is great David. I met my husband in Suffolk and Shingle Street was a favourite haunt of ours. We went back last month and it hasn’t changed at all really. Other favourite places were Aldeburgh ( now very upmarket) and Snape Maltings. I like the way you have created the shingle here.

A great piece of work David. Love the shingle and the details throughout. A great sky.

It's a lovely sketch and really interesting (lovely use of colour)

Lovely sketch. The line and tone spot on

Thank you all for your much appreciated comments. To answer a few points - the colours are all mixed from a limited palette of 3 colours, ultramarine, raw + burnt Sienna. The sky is wet in wet, which doesn't always work well on sketchbook cartridge paper, but this time I was lucky. And the shingle is just spatter from an old stubby hog brush. And, no, the Suffolk coast doesn't change much, despite the efforts of the London yuppies to make it their playground !

I rather like this; no doubt it is a good representation of is actually there.

Thank you, Trevor, glad you like it.
