I lived in the Lincolnshire fens once upon a time and the fields around Spalding looked just like this....apart from the trees, not too many trees in the fens! Love the way you have described the flowers, I can almost make out individual heads of the tulips....but the foreground is my favourite, really like how you’ve applied the paint there.

Hi Fiona its a small world you living in the fens yes it is rather flat isn't it thankyou for your comments I painted this along with an artist friend of mine we stood there in sunshine ,wind and rain and got some strange looks from some people working nearby my easel blew over several times.Something I thought strange the owner of this crop didnt sell the flowers but just left them and in a couple of weeks they were just chopped down ..he just wanted the bulbs if I'd known on the day would have taken some home to my wife! sorry been missing your work Not been on here very often lately x
