Hmmm sadly now it is on screen it looks much duller than in real life, rubbish in fact. Sorry to inflict this on you. The real painting has a gentle brilliance which this photo does not capture, so even the good bits are lost. C'est la vie.

What progress David. Great feeling of recession. How is " Power" coming along. I want it BT the 5 th.....!!

Effective.

I like this but I know how you feel, David. I've got dozens of paintings that I thought were o.k until I uploaded them and saw them on screen. Did you photograph it or scan it in? Generally I find scanning better but you can be limited if the original is bigger than the scanner. Either way, it's the original that really matters and if it has a 'gentle brilliance' and was successful for what you wanted at the time then that's all you really need.

Inspired by a walk recently through a wood, the floor was scattered with brilliantly glowing yellow flowers. I have tried to capture this here, trying a few techniques new to me. I can see some horrors, there are some I probably cant see,but on the whole it is successful for what I wanted. I hope you just enjoy looking at it.
