An excellent painting Russell and even though you say you ran out of time with regards to the hands, you have done a great job on them. It really has a rich quality to the painting, I like this very much.

One of your best Russell and those hands are wonderful - we all know how difficult they are to paint! I like that rough working around the edges too.

I've tried to paint Keith Richards in one day - 12 hrs max - after seeing him in an interview online. Being a guitarist of minimal repute myself, I'm amazed at how he continues to perform when his fingers are so arthritic. I suffer from the same condition and struggle to play much at all these days. I wanted to include his hands in more detail but I ran out of time and my hands were suffering by then! Oil A3 approx
