Meticulously done, and for what it's worth - I think you were probably right to go with your instincts and carry on with the painting beyond your original intentions.

Initially, the painting started life as just a study of Holly's hands, the daffodil and her face but as I was enjoying it so much I thought I would continue, hence the rather 'cropped' composition.
