And this is wonderful, David. You've really captured the strength of the waves and the spray. I can almost hear the seagulls calling...

You have got this one right David --- well done -- well painted

Beautiful, love the palette and the powerful movement you have captured

I agree with everyone, beautiful painting David

I think this one is actually the best of the lot, and it has an abstract quality to it. Great colour, froth and foam.

Wow! Very powerful.........love the colours too.

They've said it all. A stunning collection of seascapes.

Absolutely super, David! What a wonderful collection of seascapes! They are all so full of light and life.

Fantastic seascape. i have been trying to paint a seascape in acrylics which has lots of froth and foaming seas - exactly like this scene of yours - any advice you can give on how to achieve those effects? sunil

Thanks for the comments. As for how to paint foaming seas in acrylic I am not sure I can help. I use watercolour and these are my tips: 1 Pre-stretch the paper - I use a lot of water. 2 Mix up lots of strong colours in adavance. 3 Wet areas of the paper where you will put colour 4 Leave dry areas where you want the white (wave tops and foam) 5 Apply your paint in wave like strokes, some small, some big, vary the colours, 6 Go and have a cup of tea while the paint dries where it wants to. 7 Add the finishing touches - rocks and more darks. 8 Its done. Have fun and experiment.

Amazing sound and movement. Wonderful use of watercolour.
