Wimpey mining divisions opencast coal mine at Bryan Pico, south Wales in the mid 1970’s. The erecting engineer oversees commissioning trials of his latest ‘baby’. Its job was to remove the overburden to expose the coal seams for extraction. One scoop from the draglines bucket would fill a large road going tipper!
