Wonderful. I am choking on the dust and can hear the noise and feel the vibrations!

Amazing dust! and brilliant detail!

Know the scene well and it's well depicted

What a marvellous painting David, you have portrayed the dust so well and your attention to detail is great.

Thanks for your comments folks, your interest is much appreciated. David

This is excellent! I love the details on the "Desert Cat" and the warm tones in the shadows. Whats size is it if you don't mind me asking. And is it in acrylics?

Hi Candra, I standardise on 30x20" canvas boards which allow me to get the detail in that I like. I paint solely in acrylics

Brilliant as always.

That's the new painting season underway with the first commission ready to despatch to its owner. 'Desert Cat' features a Caterpillar D8H-68a dozer on a McAlpines contract in the Sudan back in the day constructing irrigation canals and a sugar factory. No roll over protection or air conditioned cabs back then and the local driver has only his keffiyeh to offer any protection from the choking dust! Enjoy.
