Lovely calm scene

Thank you all so much for your kind comments. We recently had a full art demonstration on line by Dermot Cavanagh at our local art circle. I found his straightforward approach really useful. This is an attempt based on some of the key colours that he uses (including winsor blue,winsor yellow and light red)as well as a few that I like such as burnt sienna and cobalt blue. He always mixes his own greens and he mixes the yellow in first and once he is happy with the strength of the yellow only then does he start adding the blue to it in small amounts. He also sometimes softens edges once on the paper with a dry brush before the paint is dry. I think watercolours can be tricky, so I think the simpler the approach can be made then all the better.
