Two brilliant studies, very well observed, you must have lots of patience for these.

A well presented, gritty subject. It deserves its place in the Officers Mess. Much admired I'm sure.

Both figuratively and literally terrific. For me, this totally encapsulates what is asked from our armed forces. Whatever you're politics or world view, these guys are genuinely heroes, putting their lives on the line, in situations that would absolutely terrify me. A wonderful example of figurative art eclipsing photography - I really want to know what he's looking at, and what he's thinking.

Thanks guys, I am really gratified by the kind comments...if you are interested in the process I go through to complete an oil painting, check out the 'soldiers in the dust' pictures I have just posted in another portfolio,

I love your work. So detailed and the subject is superb.

My Wife reckons it's a 'sauvant' talent.........But this is the same woman who says I became an optician because I'm better blurred ;-)
