Last over before tea by Michael Masson

My father used to tell me that many cultures would perform different ceremonies to encourage the rain to come, from dances to sacrifices. None were as effective as the English method : Bring a group of men together, dress them in white, add two bats and a ball and you could guarantee rain within the hour. Cricket, the rain maker.
