The cream tea train at Haworth

The cream tea train at Haworth

Your painting is lovely and I went to Haworth too last year on the Flying Scotsman. We didn’t get to sit in the cream tea carriages, but I eat enough cake as it is. We were right at the end but that meant we could look out and see the steam and the engine as the train went round the bend in the track. I’ve got some photos to keep but how lovely for you that you painted your own memory of your day out.

We were up there for a week and went on the train twice. The second time we got off at various stations (on the way to Keighley) to explore. We will definitely go again.

Great subject and piece

Absolutely fabulous stuff...the smoke's getting in my eyes!

Lovely composition , has a great feel about it, probably just nostalgia!

I went to Haworth last year and booked a couple of seats on this train that served us with 2 cream teas, lovely. It had been raining earlier but had brightened up considerably by the time we boarded.
