A lovely painting

Thanks to everybody for your comments. I came upon a lake in Derbyshire which had resulted from water filling an old earth works and there swimming were the geese. I took a number of photographs and very much later and after a few sketches I decided on a very limited palette and detail. Three paintings were completed and given to the person with whom I had been stopping in Derbyshire
