Good painting but quite daring subject.

Not too keen on the backdrop and pose, looks like it's been taken from a 'magazine' shoot. In fact, not too keen on any of it to be honest, including the colours.

Well I like it.<br />Daring? Where have you been?<br />Not keen is not helpful, maybe a helpful comment would inspire?

I&#39;m sorry, but I can&#39;t come up with anything helpful, the drawing is awful, the pose is awful, so how can I make a helpful comment? By the lack of comments I expect that I am not alone in my views. Oh yes, I have got a helpful comment, get down to your college for &#39;life classes&#39;, it will help you to develop your skills.

As you seem to regard yourself as the arbiter of good painting on this facility; where are your life drawings Bickley ? Until you understand more about the subject , I suggest you stick to painting trees and old buildings. By the way, I must come down to Staffordshire sometime, your landscapes often have two light sources; interesting !

Hello Michael don&#39;t let the the like&#39;s of AB&#39;s comments deter you from placing more of your watercolour life poses on this site. I have had a few caustic comments myself about my life drawings.Painting from life is difficult as is watercolour. Keep up the good loose work.

I like this Michael, Personally I have not done any life drawing or painting, so I am not expert, but I think you have done a very good job with the actual drawing and the pose very good. Also to do this in water colour excellent and Well Done

Well i like it michael and i have been an artist for sixty plus years which i think is much more than the rude guy . If he had that much critcism he should have said nothing .however if one likes to make everyone think he is the bees knees why not advertise the fact as he has done . Best to just ignore that <br />self opinionated negativity. I will get some flak for this as he is well known in my forum group if you know what I mean. Kind regards

Thank you Syd, for your comments ! Initially, I didn&#39;t know to which painting you were referring , it was only through a process of elimination I found it. This painting was submitted months ago, so I was quite surprised to read your post today. I presume the comments you refer to were by Bickley, who seems to regard himself as the arbiter of good art and good taste on this facility. I did answer his post by telling him I couldn&#39;t care less what he thought, and also criticized a couple of his efforts, which he took exception too. If I wanted to &#39; message &#39; someone, how would I do it , has it to go through the open forum ?

If you are a forum menber you can send a private message I believe but I would not give him any more of your time . He will just continue as before so let it rest there Michael , it would be wasted effort in face of an arrogent fellow.
