Gorse & Bracken by Collette Hughes
Acrylic and a little watercolour on paper 14 x 12 inches. I've not painted for a while following a couple of bereavements. Needing to lift my spirits, I've been inspired by a couple of books I bought to try some abstract landscapes. The books are:- Realistic Abstracts by Kees Van Aalst and Abstract Nature by Waltraud Nawratil. It has not been easy, I didn't want to copy a project so I've been trying out my own ideas and keeping the woodburner busy destroying the evidence of my disasters!
