Memories of Norfolk

What a great painting. I think it makes a subject very exciting when it is stripped down to the essentials. Lovely simplistic style.

Hi Colleen, I'm struggling with watercolours, started using them for the first time a few weeks ago, still trying to master skies and grad. tones etc, but I do like this one of the boat in Norfolk, unusual, but pleasing I think I would call it!! Many thanks for your comments on my "Wherry", and I'm glad it brought back nice memories for you.

Many thanks , Thea, what a lovely comment. Love your style too.

Hi Norman, you're a natural with watercolour! This painting is a bit weird, I suppose; it was meant to be semi-representational like a dream or memory, where there are some clear bits and lots of fuzzy bits. I was trying to portray this feeling and experiment with certain of my paints! Many thanks for looking & your kind comments, best wishes colleen

Love the colour, lights, composition. I think you produce your best work when its beautifully loose like this one.

Many thanks for your comments, Ruth.
