Great painting Colin, the greens are beautifully varied and the haze, warmth and sunlight are palpable. The scene is very close to my heart., in fact I'm sure I know this field between Lorgues and Carceres - painted it myself a couple of times, but none so successful as yours.

Here is a recent watercolour of a scene from the Var region of France, which I originally sketched and photographed some years ago on a painting holiday. I painted two new versions of this, but felt the trees were too dark in the first one and prefer this interpretation.
