What a super painting of your granddogter...I have those as well. Betty is very like Sam my rescue dog who is a Chihuahua/ Jack Russell cross . Who also snuggles into a sheepy long haired rug.and funnily enough I had a similar painting in mind. Sam also is all Chi when it comes to walkie's . She is rather beautiful....

Grand dogs are spoiled as much as grandchildren. We’ve got our grand dog this weekend - up on the settees and chairs, long beach walks and regular treats.

8"x8" Oil on wood block. This is a painting of our 'Granddogter", Betty, our daughter's 2 year old Chihuahua. Once she is in her feather bed she won't move, and will open one eye to check no one is suggesting walkies! The challenge was getting her smirk, which I am quite happy with, and she seems to approve!
