Spitfire
16"x12" Oil on canvas board This was a private commission, painted as a surprise for someone who had a great interest in WW2 aircraft. My reference was from a photo the recipient had taken at an airshow that he was very proud of. Having never painted an aeroplane before, the challenge was accurately portraying the sweeps and curves of the Spitfires' shape, but I was quite happy in the end.
