Thank you all for for great comments and feedback - it's so good to hear that this painting really portrays the sense of height & forbidding that the cliffs give. I really get this feeling when rounding a headland in the canoe, and the sun is shining, casting shadows over the see. It's quite scary yet exhilarating at the same time - I love it!
