Like the composition and your Palette is great!

Great vantage point and super progression from dark to light to dark. The figures provide the scale perfectly. Bri

This one really rocks!

Lovely work Clare, not an easy subject.

This is really striking. I love the way you painted the rock textures

Clare, this is super, great rock textures, and the dark against light gives it real impact.

Great colours and masterfully executed Clare! The rock structure reminds me of cubism and the whole painting and the composition is absolutely exciting.

The light on the rocks is amazing! I love both your posts but this my favourite.

Thanks for all of your lovely comments. It's interesting that the favourite of my two 'caves' paintings is this one. I've had very positive feedback form people seeing the actual painting as well. Just as an aside, it's worth my mentioning that this paining is 40 cm wide x 50 cm high, whilst the other cave painting is 120 cm wide x 90cm high. So that one is much bigger, and in reality, side-by-side they each have a very different impact on the viewer. I'm equally happy with both paintings, although taking on the much bigger painting, for me, is a move forward.
